I've been working on this for the past few days. The original song is by Paraoka and it's this fast-pased rock-ish electronic-ish chaotic thing... so i was like 'LOL LETZ DO IT RONG AND MAEK IT ALL SLOW AND STUFF' and I did it. Took a few days to get everything together (the instrumental, the UTAU, the art, etc) but I got it done ^____^ I think it turned out better than I expected... I hope other people like this new perspective of the song as much as I do ^^;

Wow. I didn't think this song would sound nice when made into a ballad. Not half bad. Did you arrange it yourself, or is it someone else's?
Also, since the point of the song is no longer to impress the listener with chaos, I would take the last section ("kowarete iku") down an octave or two to keep it from destroying the sweet feel.
As a side note, shouldn't "kowarete iku" now be "kowarete yuka"?

I'm glad you approve ^__^ I arranged it myself.
and yeah, I should have taken it down an octave at that part ^^; but I kind of liked the painful sound of it - like one last mournful cry before the song ends. Oh well x3 next time ;D
and about the 'kowarete iku iku iku' thing - idk if changing iku to yuka would necessarily be appropriate, because the use of 'iku' in the song is, er... a risque thing xD it's a phrase that implies the sexual act, more or less. Which makes it not exactly appropriate for this cover, and I wanted to change it.. but I couldn't think of what to change it to that would still be correct ^^;

While "iku" does carry a sexual connotation when used in certain circumstances, it's far more commonly the word for "to go" (though in this case, I'm guessing it's Acme Iku's given name, which would indeed be the sexual pun).
You have "I am broken" as the translation of that line. In Japanese, you'd only need to say "kowareta" for this, but since the song's line is "kowarete iku", I gather that the line still means "I am broken", but carries the connotation of "iku is broken". Thusly, I'd have put "kowarete yuka" carrying the connotation of "yuka is broken".
No need to up and change it on my pointing it out, I'm merely letting you know of my suspicion. I don't claim to be fluent in Japanese. ^^

No problem. It's a small thing really. I wonder if there's a section of this board for questions about Japanese. I'm sure there are at least a handful of us who know a bit more than the average Joe.
I'm sending Kentai a PM.
