VCB Homepage and VCB Jobs

Hi everybody,

I am currently whipping up a VCB Homepage.

However, filling it with content is another story.

I will put in some stuff, but quite frankly:

VCB needsd YOU!

for our ar....homepage!


now listen, I need a few dedicated members who are willing to post articles on the new homepage, when it is done.

basically, there will be posts for journalists, who add articles on certain topics. (it's a metaphor for how I want things to work with the HP)

the main posts I can think of now:

- News from the Vocaloid world, western and japanese (release dates, etc.)
- News from the UTAU world (new software versions, new UTAUloids, Vipperloids etc.)
- Hot topics on the board
- events (I would probably do this one)
- Someone who posts new Vocaloid and UTAU songs from the original song corner and writing a brief review on them.

that should be the most important ones.

they are very serious posts and need to be filled and handled with responsibility.

Now to compensate you for this work, I would give our journalists a monthly amount of VDs onto their account to use at their own discretion.

I was thinking along the lines of 100 - 350 VDs

please apply here and say, which post you would like to handle.
I am sure we all want to give a professional image, to show the world, that we are damn serious about becoming the leading western creative community.

I know nothing of Utau, but I'm well informed about the news from Vocaloid world, whether it is western of Japanese. Practically speaking, I have 5 bookmarks that leads to information sources regarding new Vocaloid releases and all info regarding it, so I'm pretty sure I won't miss an important news with up to 99% of probability.

So yeah, I'm applying for the position of informer regarding "News from the Vocaloid world, western and Japanese"

sweet. For our appeal that is an important post, so I am glad it has been filled so quickly.

Now seeing how important it is, it's ok if a second person applies for editing and reviewing, as well as filling in missed out issues.

Fufufu, fear the might of the Vocaloid Otakus... We never miss a news...

I am really interested in the job of keeping up to date on UTAU news.. but the idea of it being my job is a little daunting, i wont lie ^^; i think I'd like to know a little more of what responsibilities such a job would include.. so, unless someone snatches the job before I get back from Colorado (which will be Saturday evening, pacific time), i think I'd like to think about it and apply later :3 (i hope it isn't selfish of me to say that ;__

The job would mean, that you'd have to stay up to date with the UTAU world and share everything new with the community.

Make short, informal articles about the news. If they for instance involve a new Voice Bank and you tried it out, or listened to the demo song (do listen to the demo song, if availiable), you could also write a brief review for the readers.

keep up with new UTAUloids, software updates, events (if there), awards (if you hear somethign aout them) and anything relevant for our UTAU fans.

Oh gosh that sounds too exciting to pass up ;____;

M-may I apply for that job? :3 I like to think that I have connections all over the UTAU community - I already keep track of a bunch of people on YouTube and deviantArt, and I check the UTAU wiki regularly. ^3^ I would be more than happy to summarize all of my new discoveries for the VCB & pass on information about UTAU-related events.

The only reason I come to these boards is to see new Western VOCALOID music ^^. I would help with posting and reviewing new music (though it would help to have multiple people on the job).

I'm debating to take up the UTAU news position as well, but I want to share that duty with someone else if possible... Two people can do more than one!

That being said - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't ask for mentioning newly released UTAU voicebanks! I think it's better to have a feature for under appreciated UTAU that we want to show to the community.

The reason for this: there are easily over 500 UTAUs in existence and it's IMPOSSIBLE to keep track of all the existing ones AND the ones that are released newly every day. Not to mention most of them get voicebank updates... See where I'm going?

So, yeah, it's way more doable to have an "UTAU Feature" instead of an "UTAU release report" since that way we can delve deeper into the UTAUs themselves AND there's less chance we'll forget about a lot of UTAU that also got released. Also, honestly - some UTAUs out there are just... really crappy. I'd rather not tell the community about those until they improve so people don't get a wrong impression that will ruin the image of the UTAU.

I know main stream can suck. But the words themselves explain, why we can't turn our backs on it^^
