VCB WILL MOVE

a warning to all members and viewers:

The Vocaloid Creativity Board will move in the soon future.

I find the Forummotion integrated free forum to be to confining in the term of programming, flexibility and database management.

some things, like the VocaDime market can not be used to their full potential.

Thus I will fully integrate a phpbb3 forum with our current homepage, bridging the two and allowing data exchange.

It will also look more professional, if we have one domain for both site and forum.

I hope you understand.

The old board will stand online, however in time I will start locking the cathegories displayed here, so new content will be solely directed at the new board.

(Also do people get VocaDimes for making VCC articles in the future? xD That would be extra motivation.)

No and Yes.

mean mean forumotion does not give out databases, so I can not rescue our posts.
that is why the old forum will not be deleted, to perve our old posts.

I will do my best to connect the VD systems from the board and the homepage and there will be both getting VDs for articles (or monthly as journalists) or through promoting the page through banner adds. (i need to program all that though, so it will take a bit.)

Shop system: will be implemented now. (yes there will be virtual items buyable for VocaDimes)
Groups: 80%


now, I was thinking a lot on how to bridge the Usersystem from the Page and the Board and I came up with an ingenious solution, that will require me to only write a small, simple php script, so that will be done soon and journalist articles will yield points to their board accounts as well.

User accounts for board and homepage will be merged.

Maybe so, in the long run, but I'll defend the current silliness as the community bonding. I spend a lot of free time at an open online database, trust me, it's all about ideally finding a balance between them.

I will keep it.
It will not stay as it is forever. I still find that there might come a very good use out of the shop system, I just don't know yet how to put it into professional appliance.

I'll think of something.
