Hello! My username is ladyviolathornhaven, but please feel free to call me Val or "You-with-the-face". Believe it or not, I do respond to that. I will be entering my second year of college come late August, in which I'll be continuing a lingustics major and gaining an art minor.
After discovering Vocaloid in August 2009 (wow, I've almost hit my one year!), I instantly became hooked. The designs were so adorable, and the songs were really good! I became somewhat obsessive with watching the weekly rankings right off of NicoNico, searching for art on pixiv, and hunting for high quality versions of songs on Piapro. Unfortunately, this has somewhat stilled because I have internet download limit back home.
I mostly fall under the fanartist category. I'm very much an amateur; in no way would I deem myself great. However, I do acknowledge that I improve with each piece I do. I've recently started doing Vocaloid art, and I have much more on the way. I might also do some UTAU, but that's still up for debate.
I also use MMD, but I'm only okay at it. I presently am working on three videos based around Vocaloid songs, making my own PV, so to speak.
However, I have recently picked up UTAU and I have considered making my own voicebank, but I've yet to do this, and I still don't know if I'll take that path. I've also considered investing in buying the Vocaloid program itself, then I'm a poor college student at this time.
(Erm, I also write fanfiction, recently in the Vocaloid fandom. Same name as always.)
I hope we can get along!
