Lucky Star

So, who have watched the series or better yet the OVA? It's amazing to find good slice-of-life anime with as much as real world content possible, the only thing that is made up are the characters. Most of the object, places, and stores there are real. Heck even Konata and Kagami's house are real life houses.

As for the OVA, well "Tsunderella" arc is simply the best

I've watched the series and the OVA! Lucky Star Rocks my Socks!

I tried watching it, but aside from some funny scenes I found on YouTube it's not really my thing... I mean - talking for more than 5 minutes about food without having a real point to it was a massive turn-off for me, so after one episode I called it quits.

I like some comedy/slice of life stuff, but this one isn't a winner for me. I still like some of the more lively moments, though... (Kagami finding out about yaoi... xD)

yeah, the pilot episode for Lucky Star was incredibly dull.. but i think they changed the staff after that point and the never-ending talky scenes were no more ^^; and i've always found pilot episodes in anime to be really difficult, but if i let myself endure them then i usually find that the rest of the anime is worth watching. <3

and OMG THAT OVA WAS AMAZING. ^3^

Yeah, the first 4 episodes were dull, but for episode 5-onward, KyoAni(the ultimate troll) change the show's director from Yutaka Yamamoto to Yasuhiro Takemoto, the new director is much better at creating hilarious scenes, After all, who doesn't want cousin Yui transform into Takumi Fujiwara
